Façade Improvement Grant Program

The Façade Improvement Grant Program, a recommendation within the Building on Strength Plan, offers funding opportunities on an application basis so that home-owners and business-owners can make improvements to the front of their properties. This program has already helped over 100 property owners within key corridors of the City.

Property owners, including homeowners and businesses, along the following corridors and neighborhood are eligible to apply for grant funding:

Façade upgrades may include a fresh coat of paint, repointing of brick, new windows and doors, and lighting. Working side by side with our neighbors, together we strengthen neighborhood pride, add to the City’s architectural charm, and rejuvenate the streetscape.

This program is made possible through the generous donations from the following Sponsors:

BB&T (now Truist) Economic Growth Fund at the Lancaster County Community Foundation, High Foundation, Wells Fargo Regional Foundation, The Steinman Foundation, and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
